Miss Amy Shone

Hello everybody, I am Miss Amy! I started Let’s Act in Doncaster 14 years ago then Clapham six years ago!

Professionally I was lucky to gain representation with Mark Jermin (the agency I use for the Let’s Act children) when I was younger and IAG as an adult. I have appeared in commercials for Microsoft, Garnier and Bet Victor.

I am a qualified speech teacher having gained my Licentiate Qualification from Trinity London (LTCL) in teaching speech and drama. During this time, I specialised in American Texts, Stanislavsky Technique, Building Confidence through Speech and Teaching Children with Communication Issues. I also studied in depth the work of Viola Spolin, many of her improvisation techniques we use in class to build the children’s confidence.

I Love Let’s Act because it is a place where everyone can just be themselves and have fun!

Miss Emma S

Hello! My name is Miss Emma and I have started Let’s Act Oxfordshire in January 2024, running the Mini Musical Theatre classes in my home village of Benson. I have been close friends and worked with Mrs Amy for over ten years now, helping her run some classes in London when we lived together. More recently I have worked closely with Mrs Amy and Miss Maya to complete training at the end of 2023, ready to launch in January 2024!

I have always had a huge love for all things musical and come from a very theatrical family, where singing and dancing around the kitchen was a daily occurrence! I learnt violin and piano as a child, but my greatest passion was always singing, which I enjoyed in many different ways from pantomimes and school performances to completing Grade 8 Singing Exam and recording songs with local DJs! I studied Early Childhood Education at University and went on to become a primary school teacher for two years. Following a career change leading me into the construction industry and then a surprise redundancy last year – I feel truly blessed to have found my way back to music and working with children again.

Miss Emily R

Hello! My name is Miss Emily, and I am the manager here at Lets Act Doncaster! I have worked at Let’s Act for a little over six years now as a teacher, and even before that as an assistant teacher, whilst training!

I started my acting training at Let’s Act at the age of eight and was Mrs Amy’s first ever pupil! Under her guidance I completed all LAMDA examinations and was accepted into the National Youth Theatre, where I learnt valuable skills and made some lovely friendships. At the age of 16, I decided to move away from Doncaster to London as I was accepted into Fourth Monkeys two-year training programme. During my time, I completed two Shakespeare seasons as well as a run at Edinburgh Fringe. I then went on to train at Identity School of Acting, where I gained representation under IAG. During this time, I also completed my examination in Teaching Speech and Drama through Trinity College London (ATCL) where I specialised in classical texts and voice. I then went on to gain my Licentiate qualification in Acting too. I love Let’s Act and the safe space it provides our students to really push themselves and reach for the stars.

Miss Rosanna

Rosanna is originally from Manchester but moved to London 13 years ago to train in Acting Industries at Doreen Bird College. She then went on to further her studies at Greenwich University obtaining her degree in Drama.
Over the past 10 years Rosanna has worked in all genres across the Industry from TV, Film, Theatre and Commercial. She can be most recently seen as the lead in the Heinz Beanz advert and soon to appear in Carling’s 2022 Commercial.

Rosanna has also obtained qualifications in Stage Combat and undergone workshops in Improvisation and Physical Theatre with leading practitioners.
Alongside acting and teaching Rosanna is one half of a comedy duo with her brother. Where they parody stuff that’s been on TV, celebrities and create sketches based on their mutual sense of humour. 

I am delighted to be part of the Let’s Act team and love passing on the knowledge I have obtained as a professional actor with lots of fun in a space where we can express ourselves.

Miss Maya

I’m Maya, originally from Yorkshire but working for the London team for the past two years and absolutely loving it! I’ve been in the performance industry for many years both as a producer and actor. I have worked in both theatre and screen and have a huge love for both disciplines!

Most recently I was shooting a pilot for a feature film in the UK and Los Angeles. Alongside acting I am the lead producer of Broken Flames Productions; A Forbes 30 Under 30 Production Company, with a focus on mental health based projects – A number of our films are both BAFTA and Oscar accredited.
 
I have such a passion for this industry, which makes me so excited about sharing this with our next generation of wonderful children! I hope to inspire them and give them the confidence to go out in the world and achieve their dreams!

Miss Olivia

Hello everyone! My name is Olivia and I have been teaching at Let’s Act for the past three years. I am originally from Hull but moved to London to study Musical Theatre at Arts Educational in Chiswick.

As a teacher I specialise in Musical Theatre and always try to pass on the knowledge I have learnt through my professional training to the children. I love to see them undertake challenging characters and see their confidence grow week on week in class. I believe that through Musical Theatre and Drama children learn self discipline and other vital skills that help them develop into well rounded people! 

I love the family atmosphere of Let’s Act and working at a school that encourages children to be themselves unashamedly!

Miss Amy H

My name is Miss Amy, and I am a drama and singing teacher at Let’s Act London. I am originally from Yorkshire, and I have been performing since I was five years old, attending my local dance and drama school until I was 18. I then moved to London and trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and graduated with BA Acting (Musical Theatre). Since graduating I have appeared in the UK tour of Tom Gates, UK tour of David Walliams Billionaire Boy, Italian tour of Piccadilly, at the Bolton Octagon and a commercial.

Alongside my passion for performing is teaching! I absolutely love passing on my knowledge, encouraging and inspiring children and young adults to develop and flourish their talents. It is such a wonderful thing to be able to help a child build confidence and communication skills through drama. It is lovely to watch and encourage that development, and to see children having fun!

Miss Sophie

Hey, I’m Sophie and I teach singing and drama as part of the London team!

I’m originally from Yorkshire and trained at Let’s Act as a child. Miss Amy guided me through all my LAMDA exams all the way up to my Grade 8, gaining a distinction at every grade. I also achieved Grade 8 Violin, Musical Theatre and ABRSM Classical Singing. I’ve always loved performing in any shape or form but singing has always been my main interest. I love talking about vocal anatomy and different methods/techniques and always have done – focusing on Opera, Classical Singing and Musical Theatre. At the age of 13 I gained a place in the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, progressing to their Main Choir/Chamber Choir at 18. With NYCGB I have had fantastic experiences, such as singing multiple BBC Proms, touring China and performing in numerous concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.

I started gaining teaching experience when I was 16 by assisting my singing teacher at his stage school in Sheffield, and I began teaching for Let’s Act at 18 when I moved to the south to train at the Guildford School of Acting. I auditioned for and received a scholarship award in my first year there, and in our final year one of our shows transferred to the West End. I absolutely love teaching, and my favourite thing is when you can see a child’s confidence grow and develop.

Miss Marianthe

I am originally from South Africa where I was born and raised. I relocated to London in 2020 to train at ArtsEd where I am currently in my 3rd year studying a BA(Hon) degree in Musical Theatre. Throughout the years I have completed all grades of LAMDA Acting exams and Trinity College of London classical singing exams with Distinctions. I have also received my ATCL diploma for Trinity College which is performance recital and teaching qualification

I have been fortunate enough to perform in musicals back in South Africa such as Annie, Shrek the Musical and yearly Christmas pantomimes. Being based in Durban, I was flown quite often to Johannesburg to perform with orchestras and corporate events/gigs. A big highlight for me was reaching the semi-finals for South Africa’s Got Talent when I was 16 years old in 2017! I have been teaching at Let’s Act for a year and love inspiring young kids to expand their passion for the performing arts. Seeing them grow throughout the year is such a reward and we have a lot of fun altogether!

Mr Jack

Hello! My name is Mr Jack, and I am the LAMDA teacher at Let’s Act for Saturdays at Earlsfield. Two years ago, I graduated from drama school and I’m finishing up studying drama and directing at university. I love teaching LAMDA as I see how much the children progress over the term and from exam to exam their conference excels!

I’ve acted since I was 6, and I too was a student at Let’s Act bit so many years ago. At drama school I started to facilitate workshops, teach young children in schools and direct more and more. At university I had the opportunity to learn and build my understanding of drama and theatre and how to build and create a theatre company, in which I lead and directed, that comprised a team of production, tech, wardrobe and actors themselves to create a final product.

All this experience (while still young) has allowed me to teach at Let’s act and give my best to the children so then they can become their best too.

Hey Everybody, I joined the Let’s Act team last year and have enjoyed teaching on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

I moved to London back in 2018 to receive my BA(Hons) In Musical Theatre from the London College of Music, soon after I went on to get my Masters degree also in Musical Theatre Performance from Mountview. Originally from Tacoma, Washington I started performing at the age of three in dance and violin. I have spent most of my life within music and performing arts and have enjoyed being able to take on teaching as well! Since graduating I have also signed with Orlando Gray Management, working and auditioning within the industry.

Miss Izzy

Hello! I’m Izzy and I’m originally from Suffolk but I moved to London three years ago when I started drama school and have loved every minute!

I’ve been performing since seven years old and have kept my love and passion for the arts ever since my mum took me to my first youth theatre audition.

I’m currently in my final drama school show and am about to graduate (exciting!) I can’t wait to get out into the industry and put everything I’ve been taught over the years into practice.

I remember how much I loved and valued every acing, singing and dance class I went to when I was younger and feel such privilege to be able to pass down what I’ve learnt along the way onto the next generation of young performers. They are truly inspiring and I love that I get to be apart of their journey up through the industry as so many did for me!

Miss Rebecca F

My name is Rebecca Ferrin. I am a professional actor, trained at Mountview Academy Theatre of Arts.

I have been touring the country for the past two years in Les Misérables UK & International Tour. In the show I cover Cosette and Gavroche, and have also performed in the West end production.

Previous credits include: Chava in Fiddler on the Roof (Frinton Summer Theatre), Belle in A Christmas Carol (Folkoperan, Stockholm), Anne in A Little Night Music (Frinton Summer Theatre).

I love performing and inspiring talent, and I’m passionate about teaching what I’ve learnt since drama school and in my professional career.

Rebecca is a musical theatre performer originally from Luxembourg who speaks fluent German, French and English. After training at the stage school Hamburg (2017-2020) where she graduated with a Higher National Diploma with distinction, she was selected for a scholarship supported by the Corny Littman Foundation Hamburg. She moved to Edinburgh and was awarded a BA(Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre from the MGA Academy of Performing Arts (202-2021). She went on to complete her master studies at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London (2021-2022). She attained a merit in MA Performance (Musical Theatre). She recently completed her first professional engagement as a vocal captain for the national German tours of a Musical Christmas in 2022 and World of Musicals in 2023.

Hiya everyone! I’m Léona, originally from Yorkshire but moved down to London four years ago to go to drama school. I studied acting at both Italia Conti and Mountview but have always had a huge love for Musical Theatre too. The first show I did which made me want to work in the performance industry was Oliver, where I played Nancy. I just had so much fun playing her!

Alongside acting, I like to write and recently finished my first full play which I’m hoping to put on in London at some point in the next year. Being able to create a fun and safe space for children to grow in confidence whilst performing is amazing. To be able to give the next generation the training to achieve their full potential and shoot for the stars is such a gift.

Hi everyone, I’m Emily. I grew up in Devon and have been living in London for the last year training to be an Actor at Mountview. I’ve been working for Let’s Act since September and have loved every minute of it. Seeing the children improve and achieve incredible results in their LAMDA examinations is so rewarding. I’ve loved working on their summer shows too and look forward to their production of Frozen Jr in July!

I grew up doing LAMDA exams myself and was a member of a youth musical theatre company from age 12-17 rehearsing three times a week for our bi-annual productions. A few of my favourite musicals are Waitress, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Billy Elliot.

My name is Miss Amy and I am a musical theatre teacher at Let’s Act Doncaster. I have been dancing since I was a young child attending my local dance school. Then at the age of 15 I was accepted onto the Northern School of Contemporary Dance CAT scheme training in ballet and contemporary dance. I then trained at CAPA College for two years in musical theatre, dance and acting before starting my training at Bird College where I received a BA (HONS) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. After graduating from Bird College, I taught performing arts in London for two years at local stage schools. In the summer of 2022, I was fortunate enough to work in the USA where I was the director of a leadership program for young people aged between 16 and 18 to gain knowledge and experience being leaders and delivering activities.

I joined the Let’s Act Drama team in January 2023 and have loved watching students grow and gain confidence in performing arts. I can’t wait to watch their talents develop.

Hello everybody, my name is Hayley. I first started performing when I was eight years old at a local stage school where Miss Amy also trained. I went on to perform in a number of shows such as Into The Woods and Pinafore Pirates and doing exams in both LAMDA and LCM where I gained my Grade 8 in Acting and Musical Theatre. I went on to get a BA(Hons) degree in Musical Theatre where, in my third year, I started working at Lets Act and doing private singing lessons and the rest is history.

Since starting private singing lessons six years ago, I have obtained a 100% pass rate with all students gaining a distinction or merit.

I love Let’s Act because it is a place where I feel completely at ease. With the family atmosphere and support from the team, it makes it so easy teach and most importantly, love the job that I am doing.

Hi, I’m Gretl! I am a London-based Filipino actor-singer who teaches pop/classical/choral/musical theatre singing, acting, piano, and music theory. Hello! My name is Miss Lucy and I am originally from the North Somerset area. I moved to London just over two years ago when I started my training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I am currently training on the three Year Professional Acting BA Hons Course and am loving getting to learn more about what I love every day.

Before coming to London I was a student of The Actors’ Workshop in Bristol for six years, so I have over eight years of formal training under my belt and hopefully lots of knowledge to pass on to the students at Let’s Act. I also have sung since a very young age, completing Musical Theatre graded examinations up until Grade 8 and sang with Euphoria Show Choir in New York, Los Angeles, Dublin and The Royal Albert Hall. I trained with Clara Marullo for several years under the Estill model and have had further singing training at Mountview. Whilst I was in Bristol, I performed in various devised shows and wrote lots of my own work whilst auditioning for drama schools for four years.

I am incredibly excited to be teaching at Let’s Act. The groups I have met so far are incredibly talented and wonderful students, so I am really looking forward to unlocking further potential and sharing the gift of the arts with the students.

Hello I’m Anna originally from East Yorkshire. I am a 1st class honours fresh graduate from drama school at ‘Leeds Conservatoire’ and recently decided to move down to London to audition and teach.

I started new with Let’s Act this year and I am absolutely loving it. I have been involved in the musical theatre industry since the young age of 10. Hello everyone! My name is Briana and I’m originally from Seaford, just next to Brighton! But I’ve been living in London for four years now! I’ve been dancing and singing since I was two and have just graduated for Arts Ed this September with a degree in musical theatre! It has absolutely taken over my life and I love every minute of it! Hello! My name is Maren Ovidia. I am originally from Oslo in Norway but moved over to the UK when I was 16 to pursue Musical Theatre. I got my BA in Musical Theatre from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2021. Most recently I performed as Miss Honey in the original Norwegian cast of Matilda the Musical in Norway.

In addition to performing, I have been teaching performing arts to people of all ages, as well as working for schools and nurseries.

I am very passionate about Musical Theatre, singing, and acting! – but most importantly I am passionate about building confidence. When we believe in ourselves everything else gets so much easier!

Hello everyone! I’m Angelique. I’m half English – half French, born in Surrey but grew up between England, France and Belgium. I moved to London 10 years ago and haven’t looked back. I fill up my time with acting and voice over work mostly, as well as writing. I published my first novel last year, which was very exciting!

I am hugely passionate about this industry and continue to grow and learn through the many experiences and people I meet along the way, which is very fulfilling. I look forward to passing on my passion and enthusiasm to the next generation of amazing children!

Miss Mared

Hey everyone! My name is Mared, originally from Wales but have just joined the London team!
I’ve performed from a young age, went on to train in Musical Theatre in Guildford and from there have been fortunate enough to be in two UK tours, one of which ending up on the West End. Both shows were David Walliams’ books turned into shows, Billionaire Boy and Gangsta Granny where I was the female understudy/ensemble/dance captain on both.

Most recently I have just finished Jack and The Beanstalk pantomime at the Oxford playhouse, again as the female understudy/ensemble/dance captain.

Having taught in numerous theatre schools over the year and also performing in two of David Walliams’ plays, I adore teaching and inspiring children to do what I love doing and to hopefully push them to pursue their dreams and ambitions.

I’m Alexander, originally from Hull and now living in London after graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a First Class BA degree in Acting. Before Drama School I performed in a number of different musicals and plays and now that I’ve graduated I’m hoping to work in the industry for many years to come.

Outside of Let’s Act I have experience working as a babysitter, an English Tutor and a Volunteer so I a lot of experience with children and I absolutely love the joy that they bring into every class.

I’m delighted to be back with Let’s Act after finishing a year at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Back home in Ireland I had been teaching performing arts and piano for more than seven years before moving to London in August 2021 to begin my training at drama school.

My undergrad is in English which has allowed me to expand my knowledge of modern play texts and Shakespeare. I have an MA Performance (Musical Theatre) and have achieved my DipLCM and ALCM in Musical Theatre from the London College of Music, along with grades in Speech and Drama and Piano.

I love the ethos of Let’s Act and the way the team makes sure each child feels seen! I am so excited to be back!

Miss Marike

Hi There! I am Marike, a 5ft bundle of dynamite originally from South Africa. I obtained my Degree in Musical Theatre in 2011, and I have been working in the industry ever since! I made my professional theatre debut at the Pretoria State Theatre in 2012 and went on to join the National Children’s Theatre in Johannesburg where I performed in several productions, most memorably Aladdin and Freckleface Strawberry. I also portrayed the role of Mary Lennox in an adaptation of The Secret Garden for which I received a Naledi Theatre Award nomination for Best Newcomer. Throughout the years I’ve performed in several pantomimes, plays, and musicals like Cinderella and Snow White. My television credits include a role in an Afrikaans mini-series called Donkerland and a popular children’s program called Cool Catz! Most recently I was featured in a commercial for the airline Fly Dubai.

In 2016 I relocated to Dubai to join the cast of Lazy Town – The Musical for Cartoon Network where I portrayed the role of Stephanie for a year. I have been living abroad ever since, teaching LAMDA, Creative Drama, Public Speaking, and Musical Theatre to students in Dubai, Singapore, and now London! I am so lucky to work with budding performers from all over the world and I love sharing my passion for the arts with them.

Mr Tim

Hi everyone, I have an abundance of experience performing for both stage and screen in Ireland and Australia’s booming arts scene. Starting in Speech and Drama Schools and later performing in film, radio, and theatre. I am also a Stand-up Comedian. In 2022 I completed a Theatre Practice MA, learning a great deal about a broad range of acting techniques for both stage and screen. Currently, I am teaching Drama for GCSEs in a central London Secondary School. Last year I got the amazing experience of appearing in a ten-part Disney series called Nautilus.

I consider myself a calm, compassionate and passionate teacher that can see a student’s potential and bring it to life. Over the years I have gained a wealth of knowledge in my practice of teaching.

Hi everyone! I’m Niamh, from Hertfordshire, but currently living in South East London to complete my drama school training. I go to Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and have completed the foundation in musical theatre there and am currently studying on the BA (Hons) actor musicianship course. I love all things theatre and am so excited to share my passion with you all!

I love to sing, dance and act, and I play the flute, saxophone, piano, guitar and bass. I think music is the key to joy in the performing arts, and look forward to helping you make sense of all the crazy dots on the page in our choral singing lessons!
